Matador

Matador contains 240 g/L of Spirodiclofen and belongs to the tetronic acid group, classified as IRAC Group 23 for resistance management. The product acts by inhibiting fatty acid synthesis. It is effective against mite eggs and nymphal stages. In addition, it reduces the ability of female mites to lay eggs, leading to their mortality, while having no effect on male mites. To prevent the establishment of mite populations in orchards and groves, the product should be applied only when mite infestation levels are low. The product also acts on developmental stages of sucking insects, such as young leafhoppers, and is effective against pear psylla eggs.
