Heat is a non-selective broad-spectrum herbicide for the control of broadleaf weeds in orchards, field crops, as well as along railway tracks, interurban roadsides, areas surrounding settlements, and agricultural facilities where no cultivated plants are present.
The product acts rapidly, causing quick desiccation of foliage through the destruction of cell membranes.
The product is systemic and highly soluble in soil, allowing uptake through the roots as well. It has short residual activity and provides limited pre-emergence control of broadleaf weeds. Attention should be paid to the following crop in the rotation.
Heat must be applied in combination with Shatach 90 or Shatach Flat and mixed with Gallup or Basta. Wheat and corn may be sown immediately after application; for any other crop, a waiting period of two months after spraying is required.
