Volcana Onion

Short-day yellow onion variety with a spinning-top / round-shaped bulb and yellow-brown skin. It has an extensive root system, providing high tolerance to soil-borne diseases. This onion variety is intended for early sowing, as it is a very early-maturing variety. The variety is also excellent for early planting of onion sets. Seeding rate per dunam: 62,000–75,000 plants, depending on the designated growing region in Israel. Consultation is recommended regarding the planting density according to the size of the onion sets.
