Dolciana Onion

Short-day yellow onion variety with round/globe-shaped bulbs and yellow-brown skin. Features an extensive root system, providing high tolerance to soil-borne diseases. This onion variety is intended for very early sowing, from the end of August to the beginning of November, depending on the different growing regions in Israel. The variety is also excellent for early planting of onion sets. Recommended seeding rate: 65,000–75,000 plants per dunam, depending on the target region. The planting density for onion sets should be adjusted according to the size of the sets.
